Short and clear: what data CrimeClub keeps, why, and what you can ask for.

Who is responsible

Questions about your data can be asked through the in-game helpdesk or by email to info@crimeclub.online.

What we keep and why

Your account: your player name, your email address and an encrypted form of your password. We don't know your actual password. We need this to let you sign in and to send you emails, such as a confirmation or a new password.

Your game: everything you do in the game, such as your money, your rank, your properties, your family and your logs. Without that you can't play.

What you write: messages, chat, forum posts and your profile text. Other players see what you write publicly; the team can view messages to investigate abuse.

Messages, chat, forum posts and profile texts are automatically checked for links to other sites and for the same message sent to many players. What gets stopped this way is seen by the team.

IP addresses: when you register and at every login. We use them against cheating with multiple accounts and to enforce bans. The login history is deleted after twelve months.

Two-step verification and passkeys: the secret key for your authenticator app, and for a passkey only the public key. The secret key of a passkey always stays on your own device.

Push notifications: if you turn them on, the address your browser provides for them. If you turn them off, it is deleted.

Signing in with Google or Discord

If you link Google or Discord, we keep the id that service gives us, your email address and your name there. Nothing more: we never see your Google or Discord password and we don't read anything else from your account.

With Discord, the bot adds you to the CrimeClub server, gives you the role and colour of your in-game status, and sets your player name as your nickname. If you unlink Discord, we remove those roles.

Payments

You pay for donations and Havanas through Stripe. Your card or bank details go straight to Stripe; we never see them. We only keep what you bought, the amount and when, because we have to keep that for our accounts.

Cookies

We only use cookies that are necessary: to keep you signed in, to remember that you want to stay signed in on this device, to remember your language and to check one account per browser. No advertising cookies and no visitor statistics cookies.

Who we share data with

Only with the services that keep the game running: Hostinger (the servers and the email), Stripe (payments) and, if you link them, Google and Discord. We never sell your data and we don't give it to advertisers.

How long we keep it

As long as your account exists. In-game logs are shortened automatically; the login history is deleted after twelve months. We keep payment data for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask which data we have about you, have it corrected, or have your account deleted with everything in it. You can also object or ask for a copy. Send a message to the helpdesk or email info@crimeclub.online; we reply within a month.

If you don't agree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country, such as the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit (Data Protection Authority) in Belgium or the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority) in the Netherlands.

If you are under 16, you need your parents' permission to play and to buy anything.
